jake paul mike tyson tattoo real post474

Last month it was announced that Paul, a Youtuber-turned-boxer with ten professional fights to his name, would be taking on former unified world champion Tyson in a boxing match at the AT&T Arena site in yahoo.com Texas.

Tyson’s first title bout was for the WBC Championship in 1986. His opponent was Trevor Berbick, whom he easily knocked out in the second round. He added the WBA belt with a unanimous decision over James Smith in 1987 and added to the collection by defeating IBF champ Tony Tucker by another unanimous conclusion.

Of course, Paul brought up the “Gotcha Hat” tattoo. When his brother Logan fought Floyd Mayweather, Jake stole Mayweather’s hat, leading to a wild brawl. Paul infamously yelled, “gotcha hat” and immediately got a tattoo.

Tyson has another tattoo that perfectly matches the Maori martial ornament on his face – the image of an aggressive tiger preparing to jump. The drawing evokes Eastern traditions, reminiscent of the idea of the dragon, which signifies nobility, bravery, strength, and power.

Mayer, 32, was due to face Christina Linardatou, 34, from Greece, a former victim of Taylor, in her first fight at lightweight. But Linardatou failed a medical and Mayer had to adjust to a late change of opponent to stay on course for a possible shot at Taylor, ESPN women’s pound-for-pound No 2.

“September was the second time I proved that the first time was not a fluke. I always feel like people have a misunderstanding about me because they don’t get to see me. On March 8 I also have something new to show everybody. Every fight I’m bringing something new to the table.”

I know I don’t think as much of Norman Mailer as I once did, though the closest I came to actual indelibility was when a paperback copy of “Advertisements For Myself” faded through the hip pocket of my chinos.

Strange though it feels to say this about a fight between one-punch knockout artists with limited output, I feel like cardio will be the deciding factor here. Wilder notoriously carries his power late, and while his pace isn’t one to wear out your average opponent, the same could be said of Joseph Parker’s and Zhang still gassed despite throwing less than 25 punches per round. I don’t see him fixing that problem anytime soon. Each of those punches is sufficient to knock a man to kingdom come, of course, but Wilder is notoriously difficult to get rid of. I still remember him shrugging off an absolute barrage from Luis Ortiz before putting him down.

But the Chinese fighter had his shorter and lighter opponent in trouble from early on as Joyce provided a static target for Zhang’s booming left hand and plenty of work for his corner as cuts opened up.

After the 2008 Olympics, Dino Duva built relationships with the National Boxing and Taekwondo Center of the Department of Sports of China and obtained exclusive rights to market all Chinese boxers. As a result, Chinese boxers had little freedom to choose an alternative promoter. On March 10, 2014, the 31-year-old Zhang signed a four-year contract with Dynasty Boxing, a company 50% owned by Duva. Zhang was Dynasty’s first signing and Zhang had only one fight under Dynasty Boxing. Dynasty went bankrupt and closed down in December 2014.

Former Bizaardvark star Paul has gone from YouTube prank videos to making Forbes’ list as one of the world’s highest-paid athletes thanks to an improbable 2018 pivot to boxing. Since then, Paul has fought a series of MMA fighters, former professional boxers and basketball players that has boosted him to a 9-1 record (6 by KO), with his one loss coming at the hands of the only active pugilist he’s faced to date, Tommy Fury, in Feb. 2023.

“I’m just disappointed with my performance,” Joyce told BT Sport after what was his 16th pro fight. “The right hand he kept hitting me with. I couldn’t get out of the way, so respect to Zhilei Zhang, ‘Big Bang’. I haven’t fought a southpaw for so long. … I expected to win like I normally do.

China’s Zhang, 41, connected with a perfectly timed counter right hook that spun Wilder in a daze. With Wilder defenseless, Zhang (27-2-1, 21 KOs) sprinted in and smashed him with another right hand that planted the American hard on the canvas.
